Knock-Out Roses

I can't think of any flower or bush that has blooms over such a long period of time.  Knock-Outs sure give you a lot of bang for your buck.



My Peonies are Blooming!!

My peonies are blooming!  The first ones to bloom are always the white ones.  Then the pink and red follow in a few days.

Cold Weather

I hope last night will be the last time we have to worry about frost damage to the flowers.  It's quite a production at my house.  Twice we have had to move plants in large containers to the shop, small containers to the kitchen, and then cover the blooms of plants in the flower beds. 

Gardening with Containers

Besides flowers in my yard, arbor, and patio flower boxes, I plant a lot of annuals in containers.  Sometimes it's almost as much fun to find the right container/pot as it is to add the flowers.  Here are the ones I have planted in the last couple weeks.

My Ever Changing Patio

This is what my patio looks like on May 5th.

This is what my patio looks like on April 30th.

The flowers in my flower boxes on my patio continue to evolve.  They were beautiful with their tulips and daffodils.  Now other plants are taking center stage.
